Provincial Officer, MNCH at United Nations Quetta

Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the WHO Representative and with technical and strategic guidance from the MNCH Medical Officer and WHO Operations Officer, the MNCH Provincial Officer will carry out the following duties:

1. Provide technical support to the Department of Health (DoH) in Balochistan and the partners in the field of Maternal Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH).

2. Review and update the MNCH situation at the provincial and district level.

3. Assist the Provincial Department of Health in updating their provincial and district implementation plans within the framework of the National MNCH Program.

4.Assist the Provincial DoH and district health authorities in building capacity to effectively implement the MNCH plans.

5.Help in developing and updating a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and supportive supervision system and utilizing that information for analyzing and implementing evidence based policy making at all levels.

6.Assist the Provincial health authorities in developing an integrated maternal, newborn, and child surveillance system at provincial and district level using the available data sources.

7. Build and sustain partnerships for MNCH and provide technical input and participate in collaborative relevant activities.

8. Document, generate and submit regular program reports to WHO Provincial and Country office.

9. Perform other related duties as required
