Job Description:
One of the largest and prominent business groups based in Saudi Arabia is looking for an individual to head their Group Finance Function. The group currently has more than twelve business units with an annual turnover exceeding US$ 3 billion. Their biggest business units are in the construction and building materials industry. They have been well-established with an impeccable reputation for over three decades and have a wide range of objectives for the next medium-term growth. They are looking for a seasoned Financial Professional who will join their Executive Management Team and participate in the implementation of the Group’s Vision and Mission.
The Person:
Minimum 9 years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities on a group level with sound exposure to the construction and building sector. Expertise in both operational & strategic financial management, and demonstrable experience in policy settings at a corporate level are a must. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving financial controls for the company, establishing credit policies for customers and working with major clients to achieve more favorable payment terms. Aspirants must have knowledge of contracting, negotiation, change management, budgeting and cost control principles including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). The aspirants must be hands-on decision makers with an innovative approach to problem solving and must be able to work effectively and independently. He must possess effective communication skills in both Arabic and English along with a CPA or CA qualification.
Role Specification:
Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and operational plans. Providing financial stewardship for company assets and activities by safeguarding company assets, maintaining a strong internal control environment, and implementing and overseeing efficient, well controlled financial transaction processing systems. Advising the management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, actions and reviewing progress towards the achievement of targets. Implementing policies that support efficient, well-controlled financial transaction processing systems, and which are responsive to the needs of customers, suppliers and internal partners. Providing timely, accurate and cost-effective financial and management reporting in accordance with agreed upon policies. Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate and the conservation of assets. Oversee the Finance & Accounting Department operations, budget preparation and audit functions. Analyze company operations to discover opportunities that need to be reorganized, downsized or eliminated. Monitor long-range economic trends and project company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, and opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas.
