Job Description:
Collaborative Services Executive within Enterprise Services department at Telenor Pakistan is responsible for ensuring the routine maintenance and smooth operations of backend IT Systems Infrastructure including MS Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL Server, Sharepoint, etc . The person will work to ensure an un-interrupted availability of Sharepoint Services as required for smooth execution of company’s routine business. He/she is responsible to carry out application development and coordinate and execute all activities in this area in such a way so that the maximum uptime and performance are achieved fulfilling the business requirements.
Reports To Assistant Manager Collaborative Services;
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and coordinate various tasks related to routine system administration and maintenance of Sharepoint Server 2007, Project Server integration, Workflow Foundation
• Lead the Sharepoint farm design to ensure smooth Microsoft Office desktop application integration with SharePoint
• Strong analytical skills to design and maintain Sharepoint Server 2007
• Work with database teams to ensure reliability of databases of Sharepoint
• Carry out sharepoint application development to incorporate business intelligence.
• To perform and maintain backups of all IT systems such as to ensure complete recovery of any system/application if required; also performing regular tests of the backup/recovery process
• Work with rest of the team to ensure a professionally maintained physical and logical environment.
• Prepare and maintain the up-to-date documentation related to all areas of IT backend systems/infrastructure in his/her domain.
• Work with team/manager to develop and practice the standard operational procedures and ensure that every major change in the infrastructure is well planned and fully documented
• Work with team/manager to formulate Service/Operational Level Agreement for various systems towards multiple internal customers
• Coordinate and liaison with various vendors for the timely executing of support services, and fixing all issues/failures within minimum possible time.
• Provide timely recommendations and feedback for any required upgrades of systems, storage and applications resources according to the increase in application/database usage and traffic in his/her domain.
• Participate in new projects related to his/her area with a team member role, liaison with internal teams and external vendors and contribute to the timely and optimal delivery of project objectives.
• To remain available 24×7 for providing technical guidance to IT Support/Helpdesk staff or other IT teams regarding all urgent requests related to any of the managed systems and services.
Education/Professional Qualification Degree(s)/Major(s):
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences from a reputed University
Certification(s):
Professional Trainings on Microsoft platform, and Computer Networks (Preferred)
