Job Description:
A large GCC bank requires an Investment Specialist for its Asset Management Unit in Dubai
* To promote and sell the investment offerings structured by the asset management team through coaching, support and selling of the products on offer to the relationship managers and clients of corporate banking department
* Ensure that corporate investment clients are receiving appropriate investment advice and info relationship manageration
* Provide administrative support and reporting functions to the Head of the team and the marketing support team
Functional responsibilities:
* Support and coach the team of corporate banking relationship manager’s to add new and retain existing investment business
* Effectively assist in sales of the investment products and services and achieve targets by encouraging a sales/service culture throughout the organization. Project positive attitude by working effectively in spirit of co-operation with corporate banking relationship manager’s and distribution channels to achieve common goals/objectives.
* In conjunction with corporate banking relationship manager’s, build relationships with key clients
* Maintain close contact and good relationships with corporate banking relationship manager’s and clients
* Go on joint client meetings/sales calls with corporate banking relationship manager’s
* Provide solutions to corporate banking relationship manager’s on investment enquiries and questions.
* Assist and conduct corporate banking relationship manager training in conjunction with the Head of Sales and Product Development Team
* Provide continuous on-the-job training and assistance to corporate banking relationship manager’s on current and new investment products on offer
* Analyse and collect corporate banking relationship manager and client feedback on product and investment requirements, new competitor/market offerings and provide input to product development process
* Produce regular business plans and reports on client requirements and product needs
* Create, publish and distribute weekly sales and referral reports
* Perform relationship managers other duties as assigned
Qualifications and requirements:
* Be able to demonstrate 3 – 5 year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and Middle East based experience.
* Good understanding of local/regional markets and customers
* Preferably have sales experience with Corporate/Institutional clients, previous financial institution and financial services experience a pre requisite.
* A thorough understanding and familiarity with a broad range of global and regional investment products
* Ability to articulate investment structures/offerings and processes to clients and corporate banking relationship manager’s
* Have excellent communication, both written and verbal, and influencing skills and ability to operate as a team player
* Self motivated, organized with time management skills
* Be computer literate
* College Graduate or relevant professional qualification, in a finance or investment related field.
* Fluent in English (and Arabic), both verbal and written
