Job Description:
TkXel is looking for talented engineers to develop and extend web applications using the Ruby on Rails Framework for its customer base in the Silicon Valley. This is your opportunity to take your passion for Rails and deliver services to users by working with a team of RoR Gurus. - You would be given the challenge of working with Ruby on Rails deployments serving millions of users worldwide. – You would be following Test Driven Development Principles to write tight well tested code and work with latest technologies like Ruby, Rails, Phusion Passenger, RabbitMQ, jQuery, RSpec and Cucumber.
- You will work closely with the product teams to gather requirements and rapidly iterate on them as you manage new features and projects from idea to prototype to production.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to define clear requirements, deliverable, and milestones for new projects – Design, test, develop, and deploy production-ready applications using Ruby on Rails – Actively investigate interesting new tools and techniques – Coordinate with the Platform team to ensure the necessary services are exposed in Rails environment – Implement exciting new features in existing applications Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience developing in the Rails framework
- Strong Javascript experience in frameworks like jQuery, ExtJS, YUI, Prototype, OpenRico, script.aculo.us, Dojo Toolkit and Raphael
- Experience with RSS and ATOM Standards
- Ability to complete all phases of a major project
- Ability to effectively interact with product managers and other organizational units such as QA and Operations
- Strong understanding of the server side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects – Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment
- Proven aptitude developing applications leveraging XML/JSON based RESTful/SOAP APIs
- Understanding of cross-site scripting (XSS) and other client-side vulnerabilities – Experience with OpenSocial applications, Facebook and Yahoo! applications is a plusHow To Apply:
