Job Description:
This is a senior level responsible for the management of the Human Capital, including personnel and training functions of the company. The Human Capital Manager is required to maintain all payroll and salary-related information in the highest confidence and is the compliance officer responsible for ensuring that activities of the company comply with the Bahraini Law and the company’s policy.
The succesful candidate will review and maintain up-to-date staff policies and procedures as outlined in the Human Capital Policy and Procedures Manual. Duties will include documentation and reviewing of recommendations and actions and forwarding these to the Human Capital Development Committee on its regular meetings. Assisting in reviewing and where required initiating new procedures for recruitment of new employees, ensuring a fair and merit-oriented process for selection and ensuring the process complies with the requirements and competencies required of the positions for which recruitment is made. The candidate will do administration of the payroll ensuring salary transfers are made on time and, where required, initiate system and procedures (including information technology system). The candidate will oversee the administration of the performance appraisal process and ensure it is conducted in accordance with the procedures laid down in the procedures manual. Where appropriate, he/she will initiate changes in the performance appraisal process and forms, in co-ordination with the management. They will formulate new job descriptions for new positions whilst initiating regular review of job descriptions in line with current responsibilities and functions. Also, they will manage employees relation matters including informal and formal grievance procedures, resolve personal issues and, where required, refer matters to the general management. Responsibilities also include regular checking and monitoring of leave plans, training plans and training budgets annually or more frequently in accordance with directions set out by Company. The candidate will oversee that all work permits and residence permits of expatriate staff and their sponsored dependents are kept renewed and valid, in line with their employment contracts and with strict compliance of the labour law and immigrations policies and procedures. He / she will also maintain and monitor employment renewal periods dates to ensure timely processing of contracts renewals in line with staff policies and procedures. All attendance, dress code, disclipine procedutres etc. will fall under this role. As will Internal and External training. They will also develop and maintain a career planning program at all levels of the local employment.
